JW Marriott Parq Vancouver

One honest annoyance, kept small: the bathroom, while elegant, felt tighter than the generous bedroom suggested. Everything worked. I simply noticed the contrast first.

JW Marriott Parq Vancouver — Vancouver, British Columbia

Still, the stay was worth it. Service held a quiet precision, the room restored me after long city walks and the location made the waterfront feel like an extension of the lobby. Quality without clamour — exactly what I had hoped to find.

How the city fit

For my own itinerary — galleries by day, a harbour walk at dusk — the address was quietly perfect. Smithe Street placed me near the water and the arena district without trapping me in a tourist funnel. I walked more than I planned.

Evenings on the property soften into polished light. The lobby gathers people with a relaxed confidence; upstairs, the corridor hush returns quickly. After dark the building feels like a calm vessel in a bright neighbourhood.

The room, first glance

Light drew me first — generous, clean, angled toward water and city geometry. Space felt considered. The bed earned trust by the second night. I would return for another short city break whenever Vancouver asks for a soft, exact landing.

Not what I expected

I expected the scale of a large connected property to feel impersonal. Instead, the lobby staff kept the tone attentive and human — brief exchanges that still felt considered. The surprise was how calm a big hotel can remain at the edges.

02

The first ten minutes

Arrival was smooth. Bags moved without theatre, the desk was polished and kind and the path to the elevators was easy to read. My room was ready; the curtains opened onto water and Science World light.

Those first ten minutes set a precise tone: modern, welcoming and quietly capable.

Food and coffee

Breakfast service during my stay was attentive and unhurried — the kind of morning table that lets a city day begin without rush. I did not chase a full dining tour; the coffee alone was reason enough to linger a little longer in the chair.

What I'd order again: that unhurried breakfast coffee by the window light.

I stayed here during the FIFA World Cup and I was blown away that such a beautiful hotel exists in downtown Vancouver. The front desk staff are very polite and accommodating. The room was beautiful and immaculate. Stunning views of the water and Science World. The bathroom shower has marble and was so relaxing to shower in, the shower gel smelled so good! We were only here for 1 night but we wish we stayed longer. I forgot to buy some of their shower gel on my way out... it smelled that good, will definitely stay here again, it is the BEST hotel in all of the Lower Mainland.

I recently stayed at the hotel while attending a conference with SurveyMonkey, and my experience was exceptional from start to finish. The room was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared, which made it easy to relax after long conference days. The amenities were fantastic and truly elevated my stay. The front desk staff were a pleasure to interact with - professional, welcoming, and genuinely kind every time I passed through the lobby. One of the absolute highlights of my visit was a massage with Natalie. It was truly life-changing. Thank you, Natalie, for working through the stiffness and pain I had in my upper back and for the thoughtful personal recommendation you shared afterward. It made a meaningful difference, and I left feeling renewed. It was such a wonderful experience, and I couldn’t be more satisfied.

A beautiful 5-star stay at JW Marriott Parq Vancouver We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver. From the moment we arrived, the hotel felt elegant, modern, and welcoming. As a Lifetime Titanium member, I was very grateful for the incredible upgrade to room 2201, a beautiful two-bedroom suite. The suite was spacious, stylish, and extremely comfortable — truly one of the nicest upgrades we have received. The lounge was also a highlight of our stay. I took several photos because the space was so lovely, and both the breakfast and evening snacks were excellent. Everything was well presented, fresh, and enjoyable. The location is another big plus. The hotel is close to great walking areas along the water, which made it easy to enjoy Vancouver’s scenery and relax outside the hotel as well. Overall, this was a fantastic stay. Beautiful property, excellent lounge, great location, and a memorable suite upgrade. We loved our time here and would happily stay again.

We had an exceptional experience as vendors, working with the events team at Parq. The event itself was perfectly executed, the food was beyond incredible and the staff professionalism and attentiveness exceeded all expectations. As vendors, we felt incredibly looked after and assistance was always offered in any task we performed - something we wouldn't expect anywhere, but was so much appreciated. We would highly recommend JV Parq Marriott for your wedding and events!

The JW MArriott Parq is a huge hotel connected to the BC Arena. The lobby is a very friendly and relaxt area of the hotel, where the staff takes care of you with the highest level of service. The rooms are spacious and luxurious. The bathroom is a little less big, but has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The breakfast staff is more than friendly and makes sure you will have the best start of the day. I’ll be back.
